A New Attitude for a New Season

The DNA of Christ lives within us, marking us for great blessings and success when we align ourselves with God's plan rather than just attending spiritual events passively. God has planted seeds in us that require our partnership and the right attitude to activate blessings, giving us a "cheat code" through the Holy Spirit who provides strategy and wisdom.

Amen. I'm gonna go ahead and get us started before we go back into the loop of songs. I just love these songs, y'all. So I hope this is reaching you, whether you're here in the room or you're on Facebook or you're watching this as a replay on the streets on YouTube. I hope this is reaching you with a good heart, right attitude, all the things right. So we're going to get into it.

Speaker 2:

The month of August, we've been praying about new blessings and we're going to keep it going, all right, we're going to keep it going, all right. So, good morning sisters. All right, let me share my my screen and get us, get us back on track here, and then we can get on with our awesome Monday. And I just need somebody to confirm. You can see the slides and it says new blessings, yes, ma'am, right, so? So, before we get into the scriptures for today, I just want to say a couple, couple of things and then, you know, then we get. Like I said, we're going to keep it moving. The month of August, we're really focusing on new, new blessings. But I want to make on new blessings.

Speaker 2:

But I just want to make a quick statement that God is not a genie and although we are asking and coming into alignment. It's really what he says about us, quite frankly, because sometimes it's not even what we. We don't believe these things about ourselves, we don't believe we deserve blessings, which is crazy y'all. But there is work that goes alongside. So what I, what I never want to do, is I am not, I'm not, a Pollyanna teacher, I'm not, I'm not someone who likes to just give you, like the, the, you know the. All things are great and all you know all of those things. Blessings are going to come to you tomorrow, you know. And all that without putting a comma. But you got to do some work, right. So it does require our work.

Speaker 2:

And something else that I thought was really powerful that I've been reminding my own self of, is that, just like you, I have the DNA of Christ. I mean, when you think about it from that perspective, when it's easy to get caught up in all of the things not working out in your favor, in the pain, in the loss, in the craziness of this world, you know all the things that surround us, uh, but but I carry the dna of christ and it every now and then I have to remind myself that when we talk about the word, word tells us again, you go back into ephesians, um, where it talks about um us being with him, seated with him, being in him. We have to remind ourselves hold on y'all the being with him. It's not like we don't have access to Christ until we die with him. It's we're with him right now, in the spirit, like, as I'm talking to you, I'm seated with him in heavenly places. When I open my prayer portal, if you will, okay, I am seated, I'm seated with him. And therefore, when I speak things over my life right, when I repeat the things that the Lord showed me from my life, when I come into agreement with what he says about me, that what it does is, it starts to activate some things Like, for example, say you're, if you're a mom or a teacher and let's use teachers for example right, you give your students a certain assignment, all right, and so you're explaining the things and you're setting them up to be successful.

Speaker 2:

You give the kids the assignment, but in order for them to earn that awesome A or even a B, they have to follow through with the work, but you're planting different seeds in them so that they can accomplish. It's not a setup. You're planting different seeds in them so that they can actually accomplish the work. And so the Lord has planted, we have seeds planted in us so that we can accomplish the work. And so when we're calling on these blessings, we're calling on these things, we're coming in agreement, but we have the seeds already in us so we can accomplish the work. Right? So our mindset has to be shifted. We can't just listen don't be mad at me, but we can't just go to conferences and meetups and hangouts and church events and girlfriend events. We can't keep doing that and then you walk away and expect that those blessings are just going to fall into your lap without the work that's required, also without you. Without you, um, if you don't activate the seed that the Lord has has given you, so, uh.

Speaker 2:

So I just wanted to lay that out Like it's. It's us working in partnership with the Lord on the seeds that he's already given us, and then the blessings come because we've done some of the work and there's a cheat code. The cheat code is that when we're in alignment, the Holy Spirit give us the strategy and the wisdom and the understanding and he starts to align things and it starts to work out in our favor. Right, the cheat code is knowing that we're doing this in, because we're doing this in partnership with a God who is not going to be mocked, like when I say you know my prayers, when I ask the Lord for wisdom and guidance and understanding and to give me success and I named the specific area I also remind him so that you will be glorified, so that you won't be mocked, so that when people see me they know I am yours, that every single thing I put my hand to, that you will give me what I need to get it done, and that you will be glorified. Let me not be put to shame. So, these blessings, they come with work. Right, they come with work, but we have a cheat code and that cheat code is our Lord, Jesus Christ. We are in him, with him, seated with him, in heavenly places, y'all, it's just a different perspective. We carry his DNA.

Speaker 2:

So that's going to take us into our scriptures for this week which is around our new, a new attitude. Okay, so there used to be this song. I don't know if y'all remember this song, I don't know why. It just came to me. I think it's. Probably it's from the 90s, maybe the 80s. I got a new attitude right. I used to love this song a lot. I got a new attitude, but I want, I want us to think about having a different or a new attitude this week based on some of the things I just shared with you, based on the fact that I'm reminding you of whose you are, based on the fact that I'm reminding you that we are seated in heavenly places, based on the fact that I'm reminding you that it's not just us in Christ, it's we're carrying him, he is a part of us, he's a part of our DNA, if you will.

Speaker 2:

Right, having a new attitude. It's also based on the fact that we have blessings that the Lord has marked us for. We've been earmarked for great things. Right, based on the fact that you can go back to Deuteronomy, read all the blessings that the Lord that you're attached to, all of us have access to that because of the sacrifice that Jesus made on our behalf. Right, we can have a new attitude based on what he's done. So we're going to have to shift from complaining and when I say contentment, I don't mean like, just be content where you are. I mean don't just, you know, don't complain where you are, but you got to move from where you're grateful and there's gratitude and you're excited about the future, but you got to move from where you're grateful and there's gratitude and you're excited about the future again. We got to change our attitude. We got to move from being afraid of things to really holding on and building up our faith and belief in things. Okay.

Speaker 2:

So Philippians 2, verses 5 through 7, verse 5 says have this mind. It's telling you, have this mind. This is the mind you're supposed to have among ourselves, among each of us, which is yours in Christ Jesus. And it talks about in verses six and seven. It really talks more about Jesus. It's a reminder that he, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God as a thing to be grasped. So he wasn't trying you know, we're not trying to be Jesus. Right, that's not what it means. He said emptied himself. He took the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. So having this mindset, where our attitude goes from, you know, taking to giving, even right, that's one way to think about it.

Speaker 2:

Colossians 3, verse 12 to 13,. It says put on, then, as God's chosen ones. Hello, that's us, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts kindness, humility, meekness and patience. It doesn't say fret, worry and complain okay, bearing with one another. And if one has a complaint against you, it tells you what to do. Right, the Lord has forgiven you. You must also forgive. So it tells you what you need to do in order to develop and craft this new attitude.

Speaker 2:

So, as we're sitting in this month of August August and we're believing the Lord for new blessings and I mean like every day, every day I want, lord, a new blessing to fall on every single family represented on the side of my voice. But help us to have the right attitude so that we don't even miss the blessings right. Help us to have a mind like yours, lord, so that we can truly understand what it looks like to serve. And also because we know that we're standing in agreement with what you say, lord, that as we are serving others, lord, god, that you're blessing our household, that there will be no lack in our household, that we won't suffer in that way, that you will show us, you will open the door for us, you'll inspire and even encourage us, lord, god, so that we can shift in our spirit, moving from glory to glory, becoming closer to you.

Speaker 2:

Father, I ask that you give us this morning the mind of Christ. Help us to understand, when things are happening, that it's not the devil attacking us, because you have set up such a standard that no weapon can come near, even our tent. Nothing will destroy us and we stand, lord God, in alignment and agreement what heaven says about us, but that everything that happens has been marked that we will be successful. Lord God, that you'll bless us and even things that look like it's something that's bad. Lord God, that you'll make it work out in our favor. You'll turn things around in our favor so that your will for our lives will be accomplished.

Speaker 2:

Father, as we're asking for more blessings, lord God, I pray, lord God, that you'll continue to bless our families as each of us go out today, go out of our doors as we go to and from our destination. Lord God, as they get into their cars, that whatever incantation or any form of witchcraft or words that have been spoken against them, lord God, anything that was meant to destroy them, that you will save their lives, extend all of our lives. That's a prayer point this morning and that's a blessing that we're asking for. That you will heal us, lord God. That you'll give us the resources, the doctors and nurses that will help us. Father, I ask that, as you fill our lungs with air, lord God, as you give us breath this morning, that we are so grateful for you and we thank you for everything that you're going to do for us in this day, working things out in our favor.

Speaker 2:

But we need the right attitude. We need to know what to do when you're blessing us, so that we don't you know, we don't turn on each other, we don't use it as a way to control another. Lord, god, lord, give us the right attitude so that, as you're blessing us, we don't become full of ourselves the same way that you emptied out yourself, lord Jesus Christ, so that you could serve us. I pray, lord God, that you give us the attitude of service, lord God, so we serve those who you've assigned to us in this day. Lord God, I thank you that you are renewing our attitudes, any form of bitterness or disappointment, that that is gone now, in the name of Jesus, and that you'll give us the spirit of joy and, lord God, even with that, I ask that you will build us up. We wanna have the fullness of joy, lord God, in you we can find that. So give us the way you think your mindset. Oh Jesus, we have your DNA. Lord God, thank you for blessing and reminding me of that this morning. So, because we are like you, lord God, I ask that you will bless our very spirits, lord God, today.

Speaker 2:

Change our attitudes and if we don't know what to say and how to respond, I ask that you will seal our lips so we say nothing that will come against you in any way. We don't curse each other, lord, god. Lord, I just thank you for bringing to the surface everything that we have said or done against each other. Forgive us, lord God, for our sins. Lord God, help us, lord God, this morning. Thank you, lord, for blessing us, thank you for watching over us and protecting us. Oh, Lord God, speak to each of us and show us this day how we need to change our attitude and all of these things. We ask in your son's name. Amen, amen, thank you, lord. Thank you, lord God, for those who've shown up.

Tracy, if you're on here, can you come on and pray for a second? I don't know if you're still here or if you're muted. Okay, I'm going to take it that you're muted or you're not here. All right, I'm going to keep going. All right, y'all let's roll into declaration.

Speaker 2:

I declare this day that no weapon formed against me can prosper, because I am the righteousness of God. Favor surrounds me as a shield. Divine protection surrounds me as a shield. I am therefore in the right place at the right time. I cannot be defeated or destroyed and, in fact, every single tongue that accuses me and every tongue that attacks me, I condemn with my words. This is my heritage, this is my right as a child of God, made in his image, made with his dominion and authority living in me, coming forth out of my spirit. Through my words, I declare today that Satan has no power over my life and that every weapon he has has been defeated. The fear is cast out, that love makes my faith work and therefore I cannot fail.

Speaker 2:

God's word cannot fail y'all, and that's what we're made of His word. We're made in his image, after his likeness, with the power of the Holy spirit and authority of his words. Therefore, by the blood of Jesus, I dwell in the secret place of the Most High. I abide under the shadow of the Almighty and I say of the Lord. You are my refuge and my fortress, my God, in you we all will trust, father, as we say these declarations, and we're coming in agreement with what you say, we're asking for you today, lord, to help us with our attitudes. And even as we say that these are not empty words, these are what you say. These words are what you say about us. So, when we think about what we do and how to respond and where we go today and what people might say, what people might do, I ask for God that you'll imprint your words in our hearts so they'll bubble back up. Every time there's any form of negative thought or doubt or worry, these words will come back up, that they'll remember what your word says about them, lord, god.

Speaker 2:

So, as we're shifting this week into a new attitude, even showing us how, lord God, how to, how to respond and speak to each other and teach each other and lead each other and guide, lord God, as mothers and fathers in our families, especially as, as we're going off in different directions so many, lord, whether the kids are each other and lead each other and God, lord God, as mothers and fathers in our families, especially as we're going off in different directions so many, lord, whether the kids are going to school or they're going to college or they're going to work. I even pray for parents this morning with adult children who might not have had a job, lord God, who are still looking for a job or looking for help, in such a way that we as parents, we as aunties and uncles, we as friends of the families, those who you have marked to be the ones to step in and love on these children, whether they're adults or not, that we develop the right attitude in our response to the children in our lives. There's so many of our children that are suffering, lord God, this morning, because of lack. Some of them have lack of money, lack of support, lack of education, lack of direction. They have lack of encouragement. There's so much lack. So I ask now, lord God, that you will charge each and every one of us, even if we are a neighbor or a friend or a family friend, that you'll bring back now to our minds those very adult children, so that we'll reach out and connect and be that level of support this week. That you'll change our attitudes so that we don't go in with judgment when we're talking to our friends and partners. You'll change our hearts, lord God, to not be hardened with those we work with.

Speaker 2:

Lord God, change our attitudes on the jobs. We thank you, lord God. We're not going to complain about the jobs and the work hours or nothing this week, because you gave us these opportunities. So we're thanking you, lord God, for the jobs you've given us. We ask you to change our attitude on the job, so we are the encourager. We don't fall into the gossip pit, lord God. We don't speak against anyone. Change our attitudes with our finances. Change our attitude with our worship time with you, lord God. Change our attitude in every area of our life.

Speaker 2:

Lord God, we ask that, as we go forth this day, as we encounter the people you place in our lives, that we don't take anything lightly anymore, that we see you and we see you in every place that we go. Lord God, give us wisdom and strategies and understanding and, lord God, show us how to respond in every situation with the right heart and the right attitude. And, lord God, for those who are just depleted right now and tired emotionally, lord God, lord God, I ask that you will give them a chance to reset their minds, lord God, and to develop the right attitude. Lord, god, lord, I thank you. You have been such a good father to us. I praise your name. You're an awesome God. I thank you, god, for reminding us that you're outside of time there and nothing is impossible for you. And therefore, because we are in you and with you in spirit, lord God, and because we are sharing that mindset, I pray now that you'll release everything that was blocking our mindsets to move forward.

Speaker 2:

Lord God, and because we are sharing that mindset, I pray now that you release everything that was blocking our mindsets to move forward, lord God. Anything that we've allowed ourselves to be trapped to, anything that we were taught that was wrong. Lord God, we have been trying so hard to move our lives forward. So I ask God, if there's anything, any roadblocks or obstacles that we put there because of our own attitudes, that you remove it now. Prick our hearts to show us what we have done so that we can make things right. I thank you, god, for sending help in the form of our teachers, our friends, our girlfriends, our spouses, even our children, lord God, even strangers.

Speaker 2:

I thank you, lord God, that everything that's happened to us will turn out in our favor, because we are your children. You marked us, you blessed us, we belong to you. You've been a faithful father. You're such a good father and we honor you. We thank you, lord Jesus, for your sacrifice that sets us free. Therefore, we don't have to worry about that anymore.

Speaker 2:

We thank you, holy Spirit, that you've taken control. We want you to lead in our lives. We want you to be in every conversation, every email, every phone, chat, chat box. Lord God, we want you to be with us in every meeting, anywhere we go, as we go into a store, as we go to the gas station, no matter where we go. We want you, lord God, to take over those conversations. We know that you're in us in spirit. Lord God, we want to see more of you today. So, lord God, let that happen. Let there be more encounters today of just you showing up for those who are missing you, lord God, who just need to hear from you, lord God, that you bless them and give them a confirmation that you still love them and that things are still working out, even though it doesn't look like it. Lord God, let us not be too busy to just pause and bless your holy name, because you are a good father, and I thank you. That favor does surround us and we have divine protection, that you have our children in the palm of your hands, that you are blessing us even now, that you're taking off the burdens that we've been carrying, lord God. Thank you, lord God, for showing us how to let go of the past, let go of the mistakes we've made, so that we can move into new.

Speaker 2:

We thank you for this month of blessings on blessings that comes in so many ways. It's not just financial, it's spiritual, it's our health, it's the way we've gotten closer to you, it's the way we call out to you, it's the way that you have been working through our lives that you're even using us to bless other people. Thank you for using us to bless other people, people we will never meet, lord God, even in this life, that you'll put a word of encouragement on our tongue so that we'll speak that into somebody else's life. I thank you, god, that you will multiply the blessings in our home so that there will be no lack under our own roofs, lord God. So for all of us who are standing in need, lord God, whether it's financial or spiritual in any way, lord God, that you will open the doors of heaven and give them the strategy and the inspiration and the direction and the help so that they can achieve these things. And in the same way that, lord God, teachers put the seeds in children's hearts so that they can learn and grow, lord God, I ask that you'll continue to bless the seeds that you've put in us so that we will see, as we continue to grow, that great harvest in this season and even in this week.

Speaker 2:

Father, I thank you for bringing back to our memory now everything that we need to do during this month of August so we can accomplish great things, lord God, things beyond our imagination, because nothing is impossible to you. Father, we know again that you are greater than time, you are bigger than space, and yet you paused this morning to come and see about your daughters, and I thank you for doing that. I thank you for showing up in your own way to speak to each of our hearts. I thank you, holy Spirit, for blessing our hands, lord God, so everything we touch is successful today. Thank you, god, for watching over us. Thank you for giving us and gifting us new blessings in this day.

Speaker 2:

I pray, lord, as we start out the day, we're on fire, that we'll end the day in the same, that we'll be filled in overflow of blessing on blessing on blessing, so much that we can't even explain it. Lord God, let our cups overflow in the presence of our enemies this morning. Father, even with that, I know that that table had to be set. We have to be placed in the presence of our enemies, and it's not just people, it's in the presence of our troubles, in the presence of tribulation, in the presence of our enemies, and it's not just people, it's in the presence of our troubles, in the presence of tribulation, in the presence of worry, in the presence of anything that's been coming against us. That you set our table in front of that. Why? So that there will be a witness. Thank you, god, that even our troubles will see that you are King of King, lord of Lord. Even our troubles will see that you are the God, the Lord of Lord. Even our troubles will see that you are the God, the Father we serve. Even our troubles will see that you are our Savior and our Deliverer, our Jehovah Jireh.

Speaker 2:

This morning, lord God, as you pour out your cup, and it is into overflow, I pray that you will refresh us, give us fresh oil this morning. Lord God, help us to take on this day in a mighty big way. Thank you, father, god, for blessing us in front of our enemies. We don't have to curse anyone, because they will see the glory, they will see us, lord God, they will see whose we are and they will understand why we choose this life being in you, with you. Thank you, holy Spirit, for reminding us this morning of who you are and for being with us. Thank you, lord. Thank you, lord, for the ministry of angels that you've already assigned to us for this day to deliver everything that we need so that this day and this month and this year will be successful, so that you get all the glory. Thank you, god.

Speaker 2:

Make it so big, the blessings that's coming for us, lord God, that when people see it, they got to say, aha, that is a child of God. That's not something that he or she could do on our own. That's what we're looking for, lord God, so that you get glorified in everything we put our hands to and everyone attached to us, our children and our very household. Thank you for all of these things, lord God. We are made in your image, after your likeness, so turn up that fire this morning in us, lord God, the flames that have died down because they're so tired of what's happening on the ground. Lord, turn that flame back up. Lord God. Thank you Lord, thank you Lord, thank you Jesus.

Speaker 2:

We're going to move into thank you, sorry, y'all into prayer I'm like already into thanksgiving. But, lord, even as we say this prayer, we want to reconfirm our relationship with you. We want to reconfirm our friendship with you. We want to set you higher than we woke up this morning in one mindset, we're stepping off this prayer in another. We want a new attitude when it comes to our relationship with you. We want to put you before everything, lord God. Thank you, lord God. Hallelujah to your name. Thank you, lord Jesus. You are King of King and Lord of Lords, and so we're inviting you to take your rightful place in our lives and in our attitudes today, and so we're inviting Labas CEDC, you to take your rightful place in our lives and in our attitudes today.

Speaker 2:

And y'all, if you agree with this prayer, you just say amen. Lord Jesus, I believe you are the son of God, that you died on the cross to rescue me from sin and death and to restore me to the father. I choose now to turn from my sins and my self-centeredness and every part of my life that does not please you. Lord, we are choosing you this morning and we're giving ourselves to you, lord, we're receiving your forgiveness. We thank you for that and we're asking you to take your rightful place in our lives as our savior and our Lord. Reign in our hearts, lord God, and fill us with your love and your life and restore us. Restore us, lord Jesus, fill our tanks, lord God. Thank you, god, in Jesus name.

Speaker 2:

If you agree, you just say amen, amen, amen, thank you, lord, thank you, lord. We're just gonna say thank you, lord. Your word says give thanks in all circumstances, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you and and Lord, it's so hard to give you thanks when there's troubles, when there's troubles on the ground, when we're seeing death and destruction around us, when we're filled with worry, when we have doubt, when we don't understand why things are playing out. We don't understand it, lord God. So even then, you want us to say thank you. You want us to give a grateful heart, because we don't know the full story.

Speaker 2:

And, father, even when it seems like you've said no, the truth is you said yes to spare us from something worse. So I thank you for your mercy, I thank you for your grace, I thank you for your goodness and your kindness towards us. We have been disobedient children. If not for the sacrifice that Jesus made, we would not have access to your grace and your mercy. So I thank you, lord Jesus, again and again, and again. There's nothing that we can do, there's no act that we can do, lord God, to even make it right. It's only because of the sacrifice of you, lord Jesus, for you, for what you've done for us. So we thank you for that, day after day, I thank you. I thank you because you're such a good father.

Speaker 2:

I thank you, holy Spirit, for being a part of our lives every single day that there's nowhere that we can go and where you won't be. I thank you for energizing us and inspiring us and encouraging us, for giving us downloads so that we can write books and lead meetings and speak to our spouses and our children. I thank you for all of the ministries aligned to this watering hole, lord God, where we come to get refilled every Monday. Lord God, so as they go out and do, they do greater things. Lord God, so that your word, and not just your word, but your love, and that you'll use us to serve those around us. I thank you for community. I thank you for friendships. I thank you for your love and your forgiveness, father.

Speaker 2:

I thank you that for any one of us and all of us, lord God, as we repent for anything that we have said or done, that you'll bring it back to the front of our mind so that we can go and apologize, and for those that you have removed from us, or for the places that you no longer want us to go.
