Your Harvest Is Coming: Finding Success When Progress Feels Slow
Have you ever felt like your dreams are slipping away because they haven't materialized on your timeline? Take heart - your story isn't over yet.
Drawing from Philippians 1:6, "He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion," we explore the power of patience and persistence when progress feels slow. God plants seeds of purpose within us, but bringing those dreams to fruition requires our active participation. The harvest you're seeking often comes from seeds planted years before - what you're reaping today might be from efforts you made long ago.
This episode provides practical guidance for finishing May strong and stepping confidently into June with renewed focus. Through personal stories, including a mentoring session with a young professional questioning her career path, we discover how to recognize the good work already happening beneath the surface of our lives.
I share three transformative questions to guide your next month: What did you accomplish this month? Where are you already finding success? What outcome are you focusing on? These simple yet profound inquiries help redirect your energy toward areas where God is already working in your life, rather than exhausting yourself on closed doors that may not be meant for you.
The distinction between worldly manifestation and godly achievement becomes clear - both require focus and action, but one relies on manipulation while the other partners with divine strength. By redirecting our attention from social media's negativity toward the victories happening around us, we reclaim our confidence in God's promises.
Ready to shift your perspective and recognize the success already unfolding in your life? Listen now, and remember - the seeds of today are the harvest of tomorrow. Your breakthrough may be closer than you think.

no-transcript. Good morning y'all, happy Thursday. We're at the end of May. What we're at the end of May, so good morning y'all. I'm so grateful and happy and excited to be here again another Thursday. Come out of the wilderness, shout out to all my friends and fam who actually pop in and watch me on the lives, and also to the folks that watch us on the replay, whether it's on Facebook or LinkedIn or YouTube, parade Deck TV or any of the places and spaces where you get your audio versions of your podcast. So I'm so happy, y'all, that we are finishing this month because it's been a doozy. Happy y'all that we are finishing this month because it's been a doozy.
Speaker 1:And so what we're going to do today, our theme for this year, if you're not aware, is our theme is discipline. So that last intro that you saw that talked about discipline. That is the purpose and the intention is that when we started out, the beginning of this year, we had some areas in our lives, so you might've had different areas in your life that you wanted to apply more discipline, and this year really, truly has been about seeding the ground right and applying discipline in all of these areas. So the different areas of, for me, I have. I've been seeking the Lord discipline in my personal life when it comes to like relationships, rebuilding relationships. You know having discipline in my spiritual life, you know just being more intentional about worship and you know even things like coming on and praying and teaching y'all I'm on four times a week, you know teaching or leading prayer, doing something to that form, and just being having a of discipline so that I can some able to do that. And then also discipline in our health, discipline in our finances and then discipline in our career, and you know career also means discipline If you're. You know, maybe you are the employer and you got one employee, maybe you're the only employee, maybe you have an intention, you want to be the employer or you work for somebody else. So we're applying discipline in all of these areas and every single month the teachings have been kind of aligned to that. And this month of May, you know, we really wanted to encourage you all to just keep going right. So that's what we're going to do today. Today, week five.
Speaker 1:The title, as you can see it, says the story isn't over. We're going to pull from a scripture and I like to use scriptures. Good morning, dr Tracy. I like to use scriptures that we use, like, on the regular. Some of these scriptures are things that we are not. Things are words or scriptures that we say all the time, but I want us to apply it, y'all. I don't want us to be Christians who can recite a Bible story and a Bible verse but you can't live it. I want to see your fruit. Don't tell me how smart you are. Okay, I want to see fruit in your life. Okay, I want to see the harvest. Right, don't you want to see harvest? So I'm going to pull this up.
Speaker 1:This is Philippians 1, verse 6. And it says and I'm sure of this, like I'm telling you right now, I'm absolutely sure of this that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. So the question is, who started that good work in you? Was it you or was it God? Right, and I think that's where a lot of us kind of fall off. We create these amazing ideas, but we don't take the time to go back and say, lord, is this your perfect will for my life, is this what you want me to do? And as he starts to do that, he will challenge you. It's not that it doesn't mean that the road isn't going to be easy, but he will. The Lord will shape you so that you can walk into your full purpose. Right, he's got to prepare you. It's not like if you think of this as, say, you're a manager on the job, right, and you start asking the manager, I want to be promoted and the manager's like, okay, but in order for you to be promoted, you're going to have to do these things To get to that next level. You got to go through these things and so you kind of go through a process. So, beginning a good work, it says begin a good work. But it's really up to us to finish out the work. And I also want to just take a minute to just encourage us that the story isn't over. If you feel like you know, I've had this dream, or I have this dream for this great career, I have this dream for this great business and things aren't working out the way that I thought they would by now.
Speaker 1:I had this great conversation with one of my mentees yesterday and I won't say her name because I'm not doing that, but she's in her very early 20s and she was already saying that she was having the sense that she was missing the boat a little bit, but had so much zest for life and her future and what she wants to do. So I asked her because we're corporate girlies, what do you want to do? And she shared that she wants to be a manager. So my next question was why? Why do you want to be a manager and what do you think that actually means? And do you want to be a manager or do you want to be a leader? Because they're not the same. They're not the same things.
Speaker 1:So the seed was in her. She started to share her love for supporting and helping people and how she wants to help the business and all the things. Right, the seed was already in her. The Lord had already put. She had the desire, she, she was. You know, she was built, if you will, to have empathy for the folks she worked with and she talked about how, in other situations and other opportunities where she was the person who was solving the problems and pulling the team together and all the things. So the seed was already planted. The Lord had already started the good work in her, but it's really up to her to bring it to. She got to do the work so that she can bring it to completion. It's not that the Lord gives you a desire and, like magic, it all happens. But I also had to encourage her that your story isn't over just because you're not seeing it harvested right now, and some of the things that I'm I'm in harvest season and some of the things that I'm harvesting in this year 2025, are from seeds that were planted in 2021, y'all Right.
Speaker 1:So, even to that point, I want to give a quick shout out to our 3PS Three Praying Sisters. We're celebrating an anniversary because 3PS the Three Praying Sisters was launched, and so Dr Tracy was celebrating that. It's been over a year and y'all, they've helped hundreds of callers on this phone line, right. So that was a seed that was planted years, years back, and here they are. And when I say years back, the Lord had a seed in their very hearts, before they got to three praying sisters, right, that he had this. They had the desire to help and to reach out, and so the Lord had been working them, working on them for years to get them ready for this assignment, and they're reaping the awards, rewards and awards from that, and the Lord's blessing them in other areas of their lives, right, blessing in their health and blessing in their mindset, blessing in their finances, blessing in, you know, in connections, and encourage all the things that they need so that they can bring all of these good things to completion. So the story isn't over for you.
Speaker 1:So I want to share something, just three things that I just want to, again, as we are closing out the month of May, but we are moving into the month of June, and if you watched my teaching or a prayer on Tuesday, I talked about moving into our greater next right. So if you missed that, go on, go on back to YouTube, you'll see it there. Tuesday night, we talked about moving to our greater next and our greater next happening in June. We want to move into the next step, the next phase. We don't want to be in standstill of where we are, and if you're watching on LinkedIn, this also means you on the job right, your mindset and all the things. So here's a couple of things I want to share with you from a very relatable position, right, because we are doing life together. As I keep saying, we're doing life together, okay.
Speaker 1:So my question will be to y'all what did you accomplish this month of May. I want you to really think about what did you actually accomplish in this month of May, and this is why I've been saying you know I shared this that you know, take the time to journal out some things. I've gone back to journaling a little bit, but what did you actually accomplish? And if you look at it by in every area of your life your finance were you able to save more? Were you a little bit more conservative with your funds? If you blew it and you know, okay, that's that you know, all right, we blew it and we go, we go make it up next year, next month, I mean or maybe it's your, it's your health. You change your health habits. Maybe it's on the job you know great project. Maybe you're in the job search market and you did what I said y'all should do If you're looking for a job, your LinkedIn profile should be more active and professionally done than your Facebook. You need to be more on LinkedIn and less on Facebook if you're in the job market. Right, talked about this, right. But what did you actually accomplish in this month of May? So what we're doing is we're going to use some of these very, very simple tactics to get us ready for June and also also, to you know, sometimes encourage you to see what you actually accomplished.
Speaker 1:Sometimes we miss the boat. There's so much going on that we miss all of these great wins that we had, and I want us to take that into the next month. So the first thing is what did you accomplish? The second thing I want to think about is where are you actually finding success? And that's what we're going to focus on. Where are you finding success? What is you know, a lot of times like we miss our gifts and talents because it comes very easy to us. Other people can see it, but we can't see it right. The Lord began a good work and you gave me these amazing gifts and talent and we can't see it. We take it for granted a lot because it's just kind of like, well, it's not a big deal, it's an amazing deal.
Speaker 1:So the question is where are you actually finding success? That's what we're going to focus on in the month of June. We're going to focus on where we're finding success. So if you're not finding success in something, you feel like you've been beating this door down, you know, and the door is not open. There's a reason the door is not open. It just might be the timing. It's not the right timing for you on this thing, right, but where are you finding success? And that's where we're going to pour our energy in. Okay, so where are you finding success? This means you got to ask yourself these questions. First question is what did you accomplish this month? And then the next question is where are you finding success this month? And then the next question is where are you finding success? Like I said, I'm taking the Lord's word that we always say right, we always repeat his words, right, but we're going to make it relatable and practical so we can see some changes. Again. Your story isn't over, all right Now.
Speaker 1:The third thing is that I want us to focus on our outcome. You know that. Saying keep your eyes on the prize, I want you to focus on your outcome. What is that saying? What is it? Keep your eyes on the prize, I want you to focus on your outcome. What is it? What is your outcome? What do you want to accomplish? I want you to stay focused on that outcome. That means that you don't have time for distractions, and I mean all of it. I mean, if your outcome is to raise up a new business, then your focus is on everything you need to do to build that business up. You know you market it. You know you you put, you invest your time and talent into it. You know you talk about it. You find new clients. But your distraction you're not going to get distracted by somebody in your family or somebody you know saying you know this isn't going to work out because nobody can do, we're not going to have time for that. Okay, that is a distraction. So I want you to focus on the outcome and keep your eyes on the prize in the month of June. We have to stay focused on what we're doing. It also means that we're going to have to shift where we're spending our time. So our mindset is going to be really important, right? What we're thinking about, what we're watching, what we're teaching, reading, all the things. We're going to shift that in the month of June. So I'm giving us the layup for the month of June because I want you to be encouraged and reminded that the good work in us, but we actually have to do something.
Speaker 1:It's not, like I said, this isn't magic, right? This isn't. You know, when people talk about how they manifest things, what happens is they've convinced their minds, they have tuned their minds into what they want, and they focus on that thing and they visualize where they want to go, and then things start to flow in that way A lot of times. Now I will Jessica a lot of times that when people are I'm using quote manifest, because manifest didn't come from the world, it came from the Lord okay, so when people start to say that they're manifesting these things, is that they have committed, they have focused on their outcome, on where they want to go, and then they start to walk in the line, they start to follow through with these things. They put some actions behind it. The difference with us, though, is that when we are saying, lord, these are desires of my heart, that we're asking God for his strength and we're not manipulating things to make it happen for us.
Speaker 1:So the first question is what did you accomplish this month? And I'm going to drop these in the chat after we're done, if I can on stream what did you accomplish this month? The second question is where are you finding success? Because that's what we're going to work on, we're going to lean into. Where are you finding success? Forget the stuff that's busted. Where are you finding success? That's where the Lord is showing up. And then the third thing is focusing on the outcome. What is the outcome? What is the eyes on the prize? Right? That's what we're doing for the month of June.
Speaker 1:So, again, the story isn't over. We just have to shift. We're going to thank God for all of the lessons and we're going to thank him for the closed doors, because some of those closed doors, again, are never meant to be ours. So you're wearing yourself out, doing things that were never meant for you. Right, and I want you to be encouraged right, this is still a good season in your life. There's still victory to be had. God is still good. He's still working all things together for your good.
Speaker 1:It's hard to believe that when you fall into I'm saying this for me, y'all, because I had to do a better job of this shutting down social media a little bit, because there is everything and everything on social media, you know what I mean. Right, you'll end up falling to this tunnel of just really negative things, not realizing that there are so many good things that's happening in your family and people around you, all these folks around us, kids that are graduating. I'm so, I mean, I'm so like, I'm beyond moon, like friends of friends, and listen, if you're under the sound of my voice and you had a teenager graduate this year, I feel like I'm the auntie and we graduating together, right? There's so many amazing things. There's still people who are thank the Lord. They're finding new opportunities, finding new jobs, they're stepping into different seasons of their lives, and so I want all of us to be convinced of what it says. And I am sure of this, you got to be convinced that what the Lord started in you, he will bring it to completion, right. So all these things.
Speaker 1:So again, first question you got to ask yourself what did you accomplish this month?
Speaker 1:Second is where are you finding success? And the third part is we're going to focus on our outcome. We're going to keep our eyes on the prize. So, lord, we thank you for all of these things. I thank you for just reminding us that you are God of all, that you're such a good father to all of us, and I thank you for blessing and encouraging us today, lord, god, that we might be closing out the month of May in one way, but we're going to shift into a new and better season in the next month of June, and so thank you for preparing us for what's coming, for speaking to our hearts and just encouraging us and reminding us that you got this. We love you, lord, and we bless your name.
Speaker 1:I thank you, lord, that you're going to release all the resources and tools and all the help that we all need so that we can shift into this new season and that we'll have fullness of joy. We are filled with joy, we're excited about our future. We have no fear or no worry or no doubt, because we know that what you started in us you will finish. So revive, lord, god, the dreams and the desires that they have those who have been seeking you and waiting for answers. And, lord, I thank you for continuing to bless us and showing up in such amazing ways. Thank you, lord, for blessing us. Thank you for the three praying sisters, lord, for one year committing, and for the hundreds of callers that they've helped. Lord, god, thank you. I pray that you'll bless them in all and everything, and I just love you, lord. Amen, all right, isn't that awesome y'all? So, all right, I'm going to drop the. Like I said, I'm going to try to drop the three questions in the chat here after we shut the live down. If you don't mind, please like the video. We're still on the. You know we're still on the streets, y'all. So please like the video so other people can get to see it. Share it if there's a friend or family who could use some encouragement on this fine Thursday of May 29th. Y'all, I'm excited about what the Lord has already done for us, but we're going to walk into some accountability this month. Really quickly. I did share that.
Speaker 1:I've gone back on my reading journey. It's been a good and healthy distraction for me because I had to come off of the ticker talk, streets and all the things right, I was falling down the rabbit hole and so I've gone back to reading and journaling and I'm just loving it. I'm loving this for me. A book that I picked up and I shared this already. This book is called Five Levels of Leadership. It's by John Maxwell. I'm not a paid sponsor. This is not a sponsor.
Speaker 1:I got to say all the things on my YouTube, but this book Five Levels of Leadership, john Maxwell is a good read for those of you all who are in business, especially those of y'all who are watching me on LinkedIn, whether you want to lead a team, or if you're currently managing a team, or maybe your intention is to build a business. This is really good, I love. There's some great chapters in here about being the chief encourager of your team, striking a balance between care and you know all of the things. So this is my next read. I just literally knocked out three books over the past two weeks, so this is my next read. So I encourage you. If you're reading along with me, that's where I'm at.
Speaker 1:So thank you so much for watching. I hope you have an amazing rest of your day. Don't forget, you can call in today's Thursday one o'clock or seven o'clock, it is free, whether you're in the US or UK. I know we've got a lot of people calling. Don't say nothing, that's all right. We are more than welcome to keep joining us. So, with that said, y'all have a great day. Your story isn't over. Your story isn't over. God bless you. I love you, but Jesus loves you more. Bye.
