Aligning Your Life's Purpose: Embracing Divine Guidance for Peace and Fulfillment
Could aligning your personal goals with a divine purpose lead to a more fulfilled life? Join us as we explore this transformative journey, starting with our heartfelt gratitude for the unwavering support and prayers from our incredible community. Together, we navigate the shift from panic to peace, as we uncover how favor surrounds us like a shield when our intentions rise above mere personal ambitions. This episode invites you to reflect on aligning your vision with spiritual growth, emphasizing the power of financial blessings meant to uplift both generational lines and communities. Through my personal evolution from a business-focused podcast to one rooted in spiritual alignment, we witness the life-changing impact of surrendering to divine guidance and walking the path intended for us.
As we stand firm in faith through life's storms, we explore the concept of having a "lot" or assignment from God, inspired by Psalm 16:5. This means actively choosing Him, regardless of the blessings or challenges we face. By releasing control and trusting in God's timing, we find peace and a purpose-driven life. Our discussion encourages us to embrace this mindset shift, letting go of burdens and aligning our desires with His plan, ultimately leading to a more serene existence. Praise God and discover the serenity that comes from aligning your life's purpose with His intentions, as we journey together towards a path that seeks to bless others and fulfill our divine calling.

no-transcript. It's Thursday, y'all, and it's come out of the wilderness. Good morning, dr Tracy. Amen Favor does surround us as a shield. That's how we start in this morning.
Speaker 1:I am so grateful, y'all, that we're in. We're in it's January 16th and it feels like December, but I'm so grateful I have. I have this, these thoughts on my mind that I want to share with you. But I think the first thing I want to do is just say thank you, because we've had a lot, of a lot of you praying for my family. So thank you so much for praying for my family. It's literally been a couple of weeks of just craziness, and so I'm so grateful for all of your prayers and your support. Thank you so much. And then also, I want to say hi to the new folks who've joined. We've had some new folks join us on YouTube. We have a lot more people downloading on the audio platforms. We had, I think, 377 downloads last week, so that's wonderful. I hope you're getting blessed by the teaching and, yeah, I hope you're encouraged and inspired to encourage somebody else, right? So I thank you, lord, for this day, thursday. I thank you for this platform, I thank you for every person who's here, and I pray that you'll do something very special for them today, lord, so that they'll see your favor and come to understand, when we declare that favor surrounds us as a shield, it is real, and what that looks like in their life. Amen, all right. So exactly, tracy, welcome to the family we are.
Speaker 1:You know I was, I was, so here we go now. We're talking about aligning intentions with his, his purpose, and I was thinking about a couple of things this morning. One of them is you know, we're we're in the beginning of the year where a lot of people do the resolution and the vision board and all the things, and and so I really wanted to lean in on how we set goals that align with what God's intentions are and his purpose for us. And I also recognize that a lot of times people are like that don't make any sense. I don't know what that is because it sounds very, very, very vague. So I'm going to try to break it down in a way that will help all of us. I'm also in this, in this time timeline, of aligning my goals. You know, I have specific goals that I made for myself in my health, in my career, in my finance, in my spiritual growth in my personal life in all of these areas, and so I'm having now to align what my goal is.
Speaker 1:So remember that your goal, our goal, is just a desired outcome. It's what we want and the results that we want. But you have to create a vision for that and you have't seem to shake right. If that's my desired outcome, then I have to. I actually create a vision. I actually start to see myself without those extra five pounds and my clothes are fitting right and all the things. But I actually have to commit. I have to do something right. I have to change my eating habit. I may have to change my exercise habit. I might even have to change my self-care, my you know sleeping habit, right. So there are things that we actually have to do.
Speaker 1:But how does that align back with his purpose? What does that look like for me? So I have a couple of scriptures and a couple of teaching points that I want to share with you and something else that I want to I just want to share. I just want to say this y'all that one of the biggest challenges that we have is that we try to make our goals all about our personal ambition and it's not aligned with God's purpose. So here's what I mean my goal is to my personal goals are not about my own ambition. So when I say like I want more blessings financially and I'm not saying it like I want my blessings financially so that I can get a new Tesla, like it's not about that. It's not that because I need a new Louis bag or whatever. It's not about that. When I'm setting my goals and I'm talking about those of us who are looking for godly goals tying back to God's purpose, not just our purpose but when I'm asking for financial blessings, I'm asking for the kind of financial blessings and opportunities that will open doors for generations in my family so that I can bless my community. It's very different than just saying I want to be promoted because I think I deserve it, because I've been here for a long time. When you align your goals to God, it's you know, lord, would you put me in a position where I can bless more people in their career and help develop future leaders? It's less about you and more about him. That's what we're talking about when I say align with his purpose. It brought to mind.
Speaker 1:I'm literally sitting here as I started this morning and I started to think about even the word purpose and how it really made an impact in my life last year and how it's making an even bigger impact in my life this year. So Tuesdays are usually back in the day. Two years ago, tuesdays would be the days that I would be preparing for my regular business podcast. I used to just interview business people and we talk branding all day long. Right, that's what I was doing with this platform.
Speaker 1:But my purpose shifted. I was asking the Lord well, what do you, what do you want me to do? And I had to be obedient when he told me I had to hand. I had to stop that. I had to give up something that I put so much time and effort and was building the network and I was doing the things. I was featured in so many places. I was doing the things y'all Okay, if y'all LinkedIn, you know okay and so. But I had to give up. I had to sacrifice that thing because I asked I wanted to walk in his purpose.
Speaker 1:But do you know, by giving giving that thing up, this, this Mrs Pie podcast every Tuesday night at seven, by giving that up, what came from that was us being able to grow this little prayer ministry to bless hundreds of people, to bless a school, to build a phone prayer line, to change people's lives, to deliver to you know, to you know, the kind of relationships that are so grounded is so much, so, such a such a blessing to each of us to watch people blossom and grow right. But I had to give up my goal, my intention, what I want, my self-ambition, my personal ambition of becoming this podcaster. I had to give that up. And then he put me in places where I could bless hundreds, if not thousands at this point, people, right. So you've got to think about it from that perspective. And then he put me in places where I could bless hundreds, if not thousands at this point people Right. So you've got to think about it from that perspective.
Speaker 1:I align, my intention was to reach people, but his goal and his purpose was to reach people, telling them about him and bringing encouragement, inspiring people and giving up my time and my talent, right, you never hear me on. You're asking for seed because I don't live in any lack. God got me. You know what I'm saying, so I just wanted, I want to share that because some of you are looking at when God is, when you're asking the Lord, please, you know, bless me in business, and he's saying, okay, but you're going to have to sacrifice something, right? You're going to. He's going to say you're going to have to do this this way, and to you it might feel like you're giving up something in the moment, but if we saw the bigger picture, you'd understand that there's a greater reward. You only come to understand these things through experiencing God for yourself, because I'm experiencing God for myself. I'm a walking, living testimony of his grace and his favor and his divine protection. I cannot tell you about it if I'm not experiencing it for myself. And I know so many people who watch our videos and listen to the replays and they're experiencing it for themselves. Right, so that's the you know.
Speaker 1:That's something that I wanted to share is not about your personal ambition. I have the goals, I have the things right, lord. You know I want to do things, I want to do this, I want to do that, but I still seek his will as I'm setting my intentions and my goals for the year. That's the second point. The first point was you got to know the difference between your personal ambition and your God aligned purpose. The second point is how to seek God's will when you're setting your intentions and your goal.
Speaker 1:So so in this, in this kind of thing now I'm talking about, you know when you're setting your goal. So, for example, maybe your goal is you know you want to, you want to save more money by cooking more at home. Maybe you want to be a better homemaker Okay, maybe you know. Maybe you want you, maybe you want to be there, be more present for your kids. If you're working all day and you're coming home exhausted and you're thinking there's some things I've got to do this year so that I can be there for my kids, maybe your work situation has changed, where you are in the job market, so you don't have an income right now and you're trying to figure out what does that look like for you and where you should look. Or maybe you're one of many who are being told well, you got to go back to the office because you're going to find the elusive culture there, right. And now your entire work environment and the way that you get to work, approach, work, pay for all the things, all of those things shift and change. So what happens in this time? What happens? So?
Speaker 1:First of all, I want to say this because there's a lot of folks that have many, many prayer groups and they're praying against the very blessings that they're asking for. If you read Job, you understand that Job was spared, his life was spared, but he wasn't spared from all of the stuff that was coming against him. So being a Christian doesn't mean you're not going to go through the things and no amount of prayer is going to take you out of God's will unless you. Again, it is free will, but once you give your life and say, lord, I want what you have for me because I know it's good, acceptable and pure, it doesn't mean that there aren't going to be days when you're going to be crying right, reaching out Lord, help me, lord, help me right. That's not what it means. So I just want to drop that point. It doesn't mean that you're not going to have challenges this year. It doesn't mean that there aren't going to be points in this year where it's really difficult. It's just not. It's not. That's life. I just, I hate to say it, life is lifing. But I want to give you a psalm and a scripture that I believe will encourage you, because it is truly encouraging me right.
Speaker 1:Right now I feel like I'm in like the storm, and I'm watching all these things go on at the same time. But you know what's true? What's true is that, though, watching all these things go on at the same time, but you know what's true. What's true is that, though all of these things are happening at the same time and I'm standing in the middle of the storm, I'm standing with God. I'm not standing by myself. He and I are watching these things go on, and it's like balancing all these plates, and he will stop the plate spinning when it's time. And I'm just clapping. Thank you, god, that I have your favor, that you've got everything all under control and you will stop the plate spinning when it's time. So amen.
Speaker 1:So Psalm 16, verse 5, it says the Lord is my chosen portion and my cup. You hold my lot. I love this because it reminds us that you know, when God gives you your lot in life, when he gives you whatever we call it, we call it, some of us call it an assignment. Whatever he gives you, when he gives you that, like I still have to, I still have to choose him. Even though I have my lot, even though I have whatever it is he's assigned for me. I still, even though I have whatever it is he's assigned for me, I still for me. I have to mentally, I have to spiritually. I have to choose him. I have to say, lord, it's you, you're what I want in all of this. No matter how much you bless us, no matter how much you take us out of this temporary pain, you know I still choose you. You're my portion and my cup and you hold my lot. So what does that mean? It means that I don't fall into despair about whatever is happening.
Speaker 1:So maybe the Lord gave you a word, right? Maybe he gave you a word and the word was to encourage you to build a business, write a book, whatever it is right. And so that is your lot. It is to finish out this work right. So, as you're aligning now, you're committing to it.
Speaker 1:Remember, I talked about what is a goal right. The first thing I said is you got to explain a goal. It's a desired outcome, it's what we want and the results. But we create the vision and then we commit to do the work. We have to achieve it. We got to do the thing right. So, as the Lord is giving you your portion, he's giving you your lot, then it's working alongside, it's God working with us.
Speaker 1:So I'm not struggling about what people do or people say, whether it's on the job, in ministry, whatever. I'm just running at the grocery store. I'm not caught up in that. When I go quiet is because I'm being quiet so I can listen and hear what God has to say about a situation, and then I'm just watching him work it out. It's him doing the work, not me. It's the Holy Spirit doing it, not me. So I'm just a witness to what he's doing.
Speaker 1:But you've got to hand over your lot. Every now and then the burden gets heavy and we get worn out. Right, it's January 16th and there are already folks that I know that are already tired. We're 16 days into the year and there are folks who are already tired y'all. And we're not going to make it if we don't change the way, change our approach and work more with God. Right, work more in tandem. That means that when he tells us to hold off or he closes a door, we don't fight him against the door and why he closed it.
Speaker 1:Just believe that again. Our good, everything is good and I said that this morning, lord, I throw my hands up Now, when I say I throw my hands up, it doesn't mean like throw my hands up means giving up. No, it means I throw my hands up in worship, I throw my hands up in praise and I throw my hands up in acceptance that everything you have for me that's what I want, that you've got full control of every single situation in my life, that all of my intentions are tied back to what your will is. And I know that you're a good, you're good, everything from you is good and acceptable and pure, and I know that you're. You're a father who gives me favor and protection and mercy and blessings, and so I'm in alignment and agreement with all of those things. So everything that I want, that's what I want to tie back to. And then you, lord, will move people, places and things out of the way so that your will be done in my life and it gives you so much peace. But then you know that's the way you come out of those panic prayers where you're kind of gripping. You know you're in the car, you're gripping the stairwell because you feel like there's an accident coming. That's how you can manage those panic prayers God, save me, save my son, save my child. You don't have to do that. You have to, literally.
Speaker 1:I was sharing on social media that I finally understood what letting go and let go and let God means. And it doesn't mean that, oh, someone pinged and said, oh, that means that he answered a prayer, thank God, no, no, no, no, that's not what it means. It means that I am moving myself out of the way so I can watch him work, whatever that looks like. I've accepted what he said about every situation. I'm not fighting, I'm not arguing, I'm not stressed, I'm just. I'm just in, you know, that mode of just. I'm just going to be in peace, just in that mode of just. I'm just going to be in peace. Right, all of my intentions, everything, my goals, everything that I want this year, everything you want this year. We're going to align it back to his purpose so that we can truly be blessed, and then y'all so that we can bless other people, all right. Last thing I want to share with you is this Discipline is a key component of fulfilling God's plan for your life.
Speaker 1:Discipline is a key component. You cannot do this without discipline. Discipline is you to help you, not to tell everybody your business. This is not the year for you to be posting every single status on social media. This is not the year to do this. This is a year where you buckle down on your goals, working with the Lord, and you finish out what he told you to do. Right, this is the year. That's what we're doing this year, but it's going to require discipline. If you ask the Lord to bless you when you get the bonus in March, don't go spending all your bonus on luxury shoes and luxury cars. Start thinking about how you're going to invest that money somewhere else, investing it in your family, in your, whatever it is. But having more discipline right, but having more discipline. Discipline when you're in situations and this is you already see it in the corporate, in the job market, in the spaces where people are peopling, jobs are jobs and life are lifing already right, but you're going to have to have some measure of discipline in your response. I'm only speaking and I'm only responding. If you ask and I might not respond, then right, you have to be very disciplined with your words.
Speaker 1:We don't want to say anything that's going to curse our own situations or our families or people around us. Right? This is a year of discipline. So you know, I don't want us, don't get in. You know any groups of, especially especially women, any gossip circles. You know, as you're going back into the office, y'all, for those of y'all who are having to go back, if you're going back into the office and people want to pull up those circles and start, you know, gossiping about, you know woe is me and I'm going back. No, you don't do that. This is not the year for you. Do not open your mouth and start cursing anything. Say thank you, god that you've given me this job. You know the situation and you have a way out. And even that you gotta be careful, because sometimes we pray for God to take us out of something and you lose the job and then you say, oh, the devil did it. No, you asked for it. So we gotta be careful. That's why I'm saying be careful.
Speaker 1:What you say, everything, all of my intentions, lord. You say Everything, all of my intentions, lord. I want you to be glorified, I want you to be honored. That's my prayer, lord, that today, for every person under the sound of my voice, that all of their intentions are aligned with your purpose, so that you get glorified and so that, as you're lifting them up and building them up there, being a blessing and a breakthrough to someone, even in their family. It could be strangers, but I ask for God that what you've started in them, I know that you will finish, that you are the portion. You're our cup and you have our lot. You know where we're going. You know where we're coming from, as Jeremiah 29, 11 reminds us. You formed us and you knew us. You know everything. So, father, for those who are willing, for those who are looking for that, we're handing all of our talents, our gifts, our finances, everything over to you, and we're asking for you to bless us in a mighty, mighty way this year and give us discipline. Teach us how to be disciplined, lord, god, and help us in that area also. Amen. I hope this blessed y'all.
Speaker 1:I wanna say a quick shout out and thank you. I'll be speaking at the American Legion on January 24th here in Alpharetta, georgia, so I'm really excited. I'm grateful for the opportunity. I'll be talking about how to better position yourself and leading with purpose, because that's what I do, so I'm grateful for that. I'm grateful for I have to do this. I'm grateful for the folks that are in our prayer ministry. I'm grateful for our sister circle. I'm grateful for our prayer line. I'm grateful for the folks I work with on the day job. There's a handful of y'all you know who you are who really have been checking in on me. Thank you for those I got to see yesterday. I'm very, very blessed y'all, and I'm so grateful for this platform. Thank you for all of you who are watching our videos or maybe you're listening to my voice and you're not seeing the videos.
Speaker 1:Thank you for supporting us and please, again, if there's anything that I could leave you with is, give yourself a break today. Don't be so hard on yourself. We are living this thing out. There is no ultimate Christian. There is no pastor that's doing it right. There is no apostle, no deacon, no church mother. None of us, every single one of us, have fallen short. So I'm asking that you are giving people grace the same way you're asking God to give you grace that you're also giving people grace. Don't mean you give them a pass to do crazy, but you've got to be able to give people grace, otherwise you'll have a bitter heart. We can't do that this year. No bitter hearts this year. So I thank you. God bless you and remember Thursday. So our phone line is open. It's free Y'all please call in. We're looking forward to supporting government workers, but call in today If we can pray alongside and believe you for anything, okay, all right, I love you. Jesus loves you more and I will see you soon. Take care.
