Uncover the transformative power of discipline as we reflect on its vital role in achieving financial stability, personal health breakthroughs, and more for 2025. Relating personal stories, we share how being spirit-led and nurturing a deep relationship with the Lord helped us transition from last year's theme, SOAR, into a year of focused, disciplined action. We discuss the importance of self-evaluation as a tool for growth, encouraging you to assess your progress and identify areas for improvement, while providing insights on letting go of unproductive relationships and reshaping financial habits. Discover how teaching children to balance saving with enjoying life can set the stage for long-term success.

Join us as we celebrate the incredible growth of our faith community through the "Come Out of the Wilderness" prayer ministry on Facebook. From just three members to over 200, this group has become a beacon of faith and perseverance, proving that even reaching one person with a message of encouragement can spark significant change. We extend an invitation to be part of this vibrant community, where God's love and the power of collective prayer continue to inspire. With heartfelt gratitude, we remind you of the enduring love of Jesus and wish you a blessed Saturday filled with hope and renewal.

Speaker 1:

Good morning y'all. Welcome back to another Saturday Faith Fuel. See, I'm doing better. So today we're going to talk about discipline, which is our theme for 2025. And you know, we leaned on SOAR that was our theme for this year but SOAR was supposed to catapult you, to get you ready so that again, you're being spirit-led. You had a better relationship with the Lord, a deeper relationship with the Lord, being obedient to whatever he's asking, calling you, driving you to do. Anointed really meant, you know, walking in the call on your life, whatever that assignment he gave you, running your race right and then being renewed, which is how we leveraged our prayers. We just, you know, tapped in and encouraged and inspired each other, just being renewed in him. But in 2025, the word that he gave me is discipline.

Speaker 1:

I've been saying this now for probably about a month, so I know y'all are probably like, okay, we get it, but I keep saying it because there's a reason, because there's been a lot of distractions that will come during this timeframe and something I want to share with you. Just two things I want to share with you to get us ready for next year. Now it really doesn't matter what church you go to, who's your apostle, your pastor, whoever If your church is telling you that, you know, next year is a year of abundance, whatever themes the church comes up with, none of that you're going to excel in if you don't have discipline, if you lack discipline, it's not gonna happen. And because I want all of us to be blessed and breakthroughs and fruitful Y'all, I want y'all when you look back and on the year of 2025, you're like, yeah, well, you know that was my year, but you're gonna need discipline. If you're trying to have financial breakthrough, you're trying to have financial breakthrough you're going to have to have discipline. I'm talking to myself as well Health, you know how we take care of our bodies, y'all, even how we create our goal setting, all those things. So we're working on all the programs. We're going to have incredible events and I'm excited about what's coming.

Speaker 1:

We are, however, in December and I do realize that we haven't closed out 2024 yet, but in the corporate arena, something that we do is this is a time of year when we focus on self-evaluation and we kind of take a pause and look at our performance and how we've done, and it's pretty similar to what I'm hoping that I can convince y'all to do, because if you're gonna have a disciplined mindset, you gotta have, you gotta take a beat to do some self evaluations, to see what you need to do, what you need to change, so you can get ready. So we're getting ready in December, so that when we get to January, february, we're not, you know, going. Oh Lord, you know, let me run into Habakkuk and you know the Lord will just give me a vision. You've've got to get ready for that vision. You've got to put yourself in position. Also, I want to encourage those of y'all, just because the month is ending and you're not seeing or yielding the fruit that you thought you would, because of the seeds you planted.

Speaker 1:

Again, this is a time for self-evaluation. What were the things that you were supposed to do that you didn't? If you were expecting a blessing, or maybe you wanted to launch that podcast, but you never paid for the tools, you never bought, you know, never paid for the whatever you use StreamYard you never, you know created a brand, you never did the work, you didn't do any recording, then that's why you're yielding this fruit, but we want to do better in 2025. So we are going to be disciplined, all right. So I'm going to read the scripture. I think this is a little bit of hard teaching, but I wanted to encourage us, y'all because, listen, I want again, in the same way that I want the best for y'all, I want the best for me, I want the best for my family in 2025. I gave up, I ceded a lot of ground. This year. I've been very, very blessed, but I've also realized some of my own mindset and behaviors. I hold on to broken, busted relationships that girl's like, please don't leave. And now the Lord is like you've got to let go and move on so that you and that's a discipline, that's a mindset, another mindset shift. Before I go into this word, hopefully this is helping y'all.

Speaker 1:

A friend of mine was sharing this with me yesterday. We were talking about mindset with our kids and finances and some of the things that we tell our kids growing up and again being really careful, what we say. We teach them how to save, we teach them how to be frugal, but we also need to encourage them how to live, y'all, how to? You know. You know, yeah, go and live that. You know. Go to the restaurants you want and eat the good food and travel and explore more. You know, do all the things right. So even our mindset and and some of the things that we've established some of us again, because if you came from a background where you had a lot of challenges financially, there's a possibility that you're passing that to your kids because, out of fear, you don't want them to repeat what happened to you. So we start locking things down.

Speaker 1:

Now, I grew up in a different background. I always had my parents were so blessed, we always had everything we wanted and needed right, and so my mindset was always like it's always going to be there, so I never have to worry about money, right. So I had to, at the end of this year, really evaluate applying more discipline to the way I spend my money right, like everything ain't a Target trip and an Amazon trip, if you know. I spend my money right, like everything ain't a Target trip and an Amazon trip, if you know what I'm saying. Right, right. So, again, applying discipline, discipline in our thoughts, you know, not allowing other people like people send me the craziest things, and I mean like it ain't one person, it's a lot of people send people, will send me scriptures, their visions, their, you know, people send me a lot, y'all people send's. A lot of people sent. People will send me scriptures, their visions, their, you know, people send me a lot. Y'all people send me a lot of stuff and it is a part of my call. It happens, but I had to develop discipline not to get drawn in or sucked into some of those things because it became so negative and it was pulling me down.

Speaker 1:

So if you're one of those people who, in your family, you're the person that everybody goes to, you're, you're the friend that everyone comes to, even strangers come to you. That's the, that's kind of a um, that's just that thing about you. People just come to you. They feel like they want. Some people show up and they want to, um, like, declare authority and tell me what to, and some people show up and they just feel like they're encouraging me. You've got to be careful of the distraction and the noise. You can't eat everything you're being fed, because it ain't all coming from Jesus.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so applying discipline into what you're allowing, what you're listening to, what you're seeing. So this time of year, y'all we're going to over the next couple of weeks, we're going to focus on self-evaluation. What did we not do that we were supposed to do? How did we respond. What did we do with the seeds God gave us? I have so many friends of mine that have been either promoted on the job and I'm watching them, but y'all they work so hard, watching friends of mine on Facebook especially they got beautiful pictures with their families and I'm watching how they prioritize their families this year and how they yielded the fruits from that. You know, let's keep the discipline of prioritizing our families into next year, right? So let's again evaluate where you're at and where we're trying to go.

Speaker 1:

All right, here we go now with scripture Hebrews 11, I'm sorry, hebrews 12, a Shelley version, verse 7. It's going to be hard teaching, but we're going to ask Holy Spirit that you will show us what we need to see individually, individually. Let them hear what it is according to them. Amen. It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline? If you're left without discipline, in which all have participated, then you are illegitimate children and not sons.

Speaker 1:

Besides this, we have had earthly fathers who disciplined us and we respected them. Shall we not much more be subject to the Father of spirits and live, for they disciplined us for a short time as it seemed best to them, but he disciplines us for our good, that we may share his holiness. For the moment, all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later, y'all, it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. Therefore, lift your drooping hands and strengthen your weak knees and make straight paths for your feet so that what is lame may not be put out of joint, but rather be healed. Strive for peace with everyone and for the holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.

Speaker 1:

Now, this word about discipline is so important. It's more than a word. So something else that the Lord was showing me is, when we apply discipline next year, why it's important for us to, like, I would say, my country, take stock of where you are right now, evaluate where you are right now, like for real in your heart, honestly right. It's because when we apply real discipline, it yields breakthrough. Discipline yields breakthrough. Discipline yields blessings, discipline, discipline. And so the encouragement here that we see is the Lord is saying, in the same way that our earthly fathers and our mothers okay have disciplined us is the same way that you know, when he's disciplining us, what it yields is peace talks about the peaceful fruits of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. So there's a training required for the discipline that you'll need to get to where you have been trained by it. So there's a training required for the discipline that you'll need to get to where you're trying to go to. And that's what we're doing next year. Right, that's what we're doing next year. We're going to be trained up in discipline so that we can yield the fruits in our lives.

Speaker 1:

When we talk about wanting to see the goodness of God in the land of the living, we talk about wanting to see the goodness of God in the land of the living. We talk about wanting to see breakthroughs and blessings. Y'all Discipline is going to help us get there. So we thank you, father, that you're the Father of spirits, that you're God of all. We thank you, abba, for everything. We thank you, holy Spirit, for speaking to us this morning and in creating.

Speaker 1:

Show each of us what we need to evaluate. Help us evaluate our own walk this year. What did we do? What did we squander? We don't want to make any mistakes going into next year. So, lord, as we come before you, we just ask that you will show us what we did wrong and be as open and honest like open up our hearts. Or show us exactly what we have done the thoughts we've thought wrong, the deeds. Or show us exactly what we have done the thoughts we've thought, wrong, the deeds. You know anything that we've done that was wrong and that took us off our path.

Speaker 1:

We want to be disciplined, lord God. We want to be disciplined in our health and in our finances. We want to be blessings and breakthrough, but we want a new mindset, lord God. We want to go into next year with hope, knowing that our hope is in you. We want to receive everything that heaven has for us. We want to be blessings to our families for generations to come, but we know that we can't do that without discipline and the discipline that comes from you.

Speaker 1:

I ask, lord God, that you will forgive all of us. All of us have fallen and come short before you, so I ask that you'll forgive every single person, me included, and everyone under the sound of my voice, for anything that we have said or done to each other to hurt anyone. Lord God, wipe the slate clean. Give us discipline now, lord God, as we look at, even as we evaluate relationships and let them go. Let the relationships go that are not meant to be with us in 2025 and bless folks and move on, living in peace with each other. Thank you for your grace on this ministry. I thank you for the three praying sisters. I thank you for your counsel and your guidance. I thank you for everything that you have done. I thank you for all the witnesses and the testimonies coming out of this year, because you have used us and this platform to reach so many. Thank you, god, for every person who stand in need, because I know that they're going to get a blessing Discipline in 2025. And I thank you, god, that you're already paved the way to victory so that we'll receive everything that we're dreaming for, hoping for, wanting for, lord God. Thank you, lord, for everything. Amen, amen, y'all.

Speaker 1:
