Speaker 1:

no-transcript. October. I'm happy this month is over, y'all, I'm so glad we made it. We're in week five. Can you believe we're in week five of this teaching series?

Speaker 1:

Y'all thank you so much for watching, especially those who have been waking up early with me. I was just sitting here reflecting. It's been a couple of years y'all, and so just a quick thank you for everybody who watches us. So if you're on the Facebook streets LinkedIn I used to run these on X. I don't run them on X anymore, but YouTube Parade Deck, wherever you're watching the folks that listen to the audio versions and you're hearing me you've never seen me. Thank y'all so much for all your support. Please don't forget to like the video. It's a very, very easy and free way to support, but that also gives other people a chance to see the video. So I want to do a quick recap of what we've been studying and I promise I'm trying not to miss the comment.

Speaker 1:

Good morning, dr Renee. Good morning faithful Tracy. Y'all, I can't help. I'm giddy because y'all it's been a long month. I don't know if y'all have had it this morning. I literally was sitting here and I was like Lord I mean he runs another Thursday and to bringing us to the end of this month. I pray that you know, everything that we hear and learn is from you this morning, that you'll bless us and give us the strength to make it through this day as we close out this month, lord, those who are standing and waiting for a specific and special word from you. I pray that they'll hear it today, that they'll be inspired and encouraged to keep going. I thank you for granting us the blessings of this day. We're declaring victory in this day. We are winners in this day. We thank you that you're marking our path and that everything we stand in need of we will receive, whether it's financial or mental or physical or project help or on the job, in the business, whatever it is. We stand in need of Lord, god, that you're going to deliver that through your word and through all confirmations today, so that we know, lord, we can still trust you. There's so many people y'all amen. There's so many people who are tired. Tracy's saying, yeah, she's the same and for different reasons y'all. Some people are just tired with just all the life. If you're in the US, maybe you're tired of the politics stuff. If you're on the job, there are people who have been losing their jobs for the past few months. You know, I'm in corporate America, so this is a cycle. Maybe you're tired of seeing companies that you know showcase their amazing profits and you're wondering why your colleagues are getting let go. So people are tired of that cycle, just tired y'all. Okay, so today we're leaning into embracing the new.

Speaker 1:

We've been studying Isaiah, kind of the practical terms, and so let me just catch everybody up to date. If you haven't been here every week, you need to go back and watch these. For the month of October we focused on Isaiah. Every month there's a different theme. I'm really excited already for the theme you might've seen me push this out called Run. Okay, we're doing this y'all. So just a quick recap because I think this is gonna bless all of us.

Speaker 1:

So we're looking at the book of Isaiah and it's really just through the very practical lessons on how we live out. Soar, soar was our theme for this year. Soar, s-o-a-r. It stands for Spirit Led, obedient, anointed and Renewed, and so we were looking at how you navigate the different issues or struggles or challenges that we've had, and we were leveraging Isaiah the biblical knowledge from Isaiah, you know to help us make it y'all discover the strength that we need. So in the first week we talked about how to be spirit led in just our everyday decisions, and this is really important because I know that there are folks that watch me who are kind of new to the Christian walk, and so this is also a good teaching to help. You know, maybe you've been a Christian for 30, 40 years and it's just a renewal, right. But we talked about how to be spirit led in our everyday decisions. So what were some of the practical ways that the Holy Spirit guides us? And the first thing is that reminding us that you know the sevenfold spirit. We talked about his wisdom and understanding, counsel, might, knowledge and fear of the Lord and how to listen for God's guidance in your decision right. So we talked about the sevenfold spirit.

Speaker 1:

The week two I'm going a little bit off memory and partially some notes, but week two we talked about obedience and we we, we really were talking about, you know, when you're in that position where the Lord is, maybe sometimes he's put people on your heart or telling you to do something, and it does lead to unlocking different blessings. A lot of people I meet they want help, trying to figure out their purpose and I'm like well, what did God tell you? But how do you stay obedient today where there's a requirement? You have to have a life of faith and trust, right? So we talked about the company that we keep and the places that we go and the courage to speak up for those in need, and being obedient so that when the Lord sends you somewhere, you know how to respond and unlock the blessings and your purpose. That was obedience.

Speaker 1:

And so in week three we covered anointing and anointing. We talked about whether you're on the job or on the job meeting, whether you work from home or not. Okay, whether you're in ministry or whatever it is that you're doing. Maybe you're retired and you're in volunteerism, or you're a philanthropist or whatever it is that you're doing. Maybe you're retired and you're in volunteerism, or you're a philanthropist or whatever it is that you do.

Speaker 1:

We talked about anointing. We really leaned on how you use God's gifts in your life, right? So we looked at one of the most powerful, for me, scriptures in the Bible is the one the Lord gave me for myself, isaiah 61. And we looked at verses one through three, but the first focus was the spirit of the Lord is upon me because the Lord gave me for myself Isaiah 61. And we looked at verses one through three. But the first focus was the spirit of the Lord is upon me because the Lord has anointed me. So we talked about helping you understand your anointing in Christ and how you can operate in that power. And then how do you renew that over time. That's anointing.

Speaker 1:

Last week we talked about renewing our strength. When you feel like just giving up, when you really need this strength, everything just kind of feels overwhelming and you know, sometimes for me I need to honestly find just like hope to keep moving forward. But I'm doing it with his strength. So we talked a little bit about what does the strength of the Lord look like and some of the practical steps that we can build up our energy. Some of it, y'all, is health. You know health things.

Speaker 1:

We had a great episode, a great show called Declutter. It might've been a couple of weeks now, I can't think of the date, but you can watch the replay of Declutter and Declutter that. See, God works. He's so amazing. But in Declutter, in that show, we talked about decluttering our spiritual, emotional and physical spaces, right, and so it kind of tied into some of the renewal of our mind and restoration and endurance, when you're feeling weary, tired and overwhelmed, like looking at some of the things that y'all we need to do, some of the decluttering that we need to do in our own lives.

Speaker 1:

Now that brings me to week five, embracing the new and how you let go of your past and step into the future. So I'm going to share my screen because we're coming out of Isaiah. And again, why am I doing this? I want to share my screen, I want to share the word for those of y'all who don't have your Bible next to you, one but two. I want to make sure that folks understand that I'm only coming from the Bible. These aren't Shelley-isms, okay.

Speaker 1:

Something else I've been teaching you guys, if you're interested in going a little bit deeper into study, is I use Bible Gateway and I also look at the commentaries and Bible studies. So if you're signing this just again, I'm not going to gatekeep how I study. I'm telling you what I do, okay, so I also, as I'm looking at, for example, isaiah 43, 18 through 19,. You see that here on one side of my screen. On the other side, this is the Bible study. It's a resource that you can find this is the Charles Stanley Principles Bible Notes, and sometimes I like to do that because it gives me a different perspective.

Speaker 1:

Right, you know, purpose is to not just read the word but study the word and ask the Holy Spirit. So, holy Spirit, as we go into this now, ask that you'll give us all wisdom and understanding so that we can dissect the word and you'll plant it in our hearts. So when we walk away from this live, that we will walk away with something that you'll give us some wisdom and understand that we'll be able to apply everything that we've heard this morning into our day, daily, daily lives. Amen, right, all right. So I always use the East. I was going to say the H Shelley version, the ESV version, and it reads like this Isaiah 43, 18 and 19.

Speaker 1:

Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. That's verse 18. I'm going to pause for a second. There are other, there are other versions or other translations that say forget not, forget not the former things, nor consider the things of old. So what's the difference between forget not or remember not, right, and then consider? What does it mean to forget or or, or to consider something? I'm going to drop some notes in the chat, cause I think this, this was really good for me and I think it's going to help you.

Speaker 1:

But forget, when you forget something, is you let it go and you don't rehash it, you just forget about it, okay, so the one other point, sticking point I want to share because I want to make sure you don't hear what I'm saying, what I'm not saying when I talk about forgetting the former things. The context of this is that Isaiah is speaking to the children of Israel. They had gone through some things. Okay, they had gone through some things, like all of us. They had gone through some things right, pretty emotionally tired right around this time. And so when we're talking about forgetting the former things, I'm not saying that if someone hurts you, you just forget the pain. That scar still needs to heal and there's healing that comes from letting things go. It doesn't mean that if someone deeply hurt you, you just, you know, I'm just saying you Christian, you quote Christian your way out of it, where you just let people come back and reopen the scar and you kind of go through that cycle. That's not what I'm saying. I'm also not saying that it is easy because, listen, I'm Jamaican, we have long, long memories okay, but there is.

Speaker 1:

You do come to a point where, in order for you to move forward, you do have to let some things go. So remember not the former things you think about. In a practical terms, in order for you to move forward in business, you have to let go of some of the mistakes you made. Sometimes people make the mistake and they hold onto that thing like a carcass and they drag it into every decision. So, letting go of the former things, also letting go of old mindsets.

Speaker 1:

I guarantee you, if you have been watching me for the past couple of years steadily, if you've been showing up for our prayer calls steadily, if you've been consistent, there is no way you think the same way you did two years ago that you do now, because this is a growth, a mindset growth, encouragement, prayer. You know, prayer driven, holy Spirit led ministry. There is no way that you're holding onto the stuff from before because you would have, you would have, you would have, you would have shifted. All of us have okay. And in order for you to, to get, you know, pull into the promises of the new things that God has for you. So, for example, if you're in a season where you know you're praying and asking God to give you the job, the promotion, all the things maybe you're asking for, you know, the husband or the wife or whatever it is you know. Maybe you're praying for your children or whatever it is.

Speaker 1:

Whatever your next is and your new things, there are some things that you're going to have to let go. Let go of the former things, the way things didn't work out for you, and holding onto that right, thinking God can't do something new or something different. Remember not the former things Now when it talks about, nor consider the things of old. When you consider something, it means that you're thinking about it so that you can make a decision. So the things of old. So an example is the way that maybe the way that you got your current job is not the way that you're going to get your next job or your next promotion. So if you start to consider the way that things worked out so that you could get to where you are and you keep considering the way that you got there, you're going to miss it when God does a new thing, because he doesn't always do the same thing over and over again, right? He doesn't send you the same people over and over again. Right, amen, that sound y'all is my trash pickup and I have no idea why they're here at 7.15 AM in Georgia, because this never happens. But all right. But I just want you to think about that. So this is so important.

Speaker 1:

So Isaiah is telling us remember not the former things. So we got to learn to let it go and don't rehash stuff, nor consider the things of old. Don't lean into thinking about the way God, like there's a formula If I do this, then God does this. If I do that, then God does that. It's not, god is spirit. Things don't always roll the way we think, right.

Speaker 1:

So verse 19,. Behold, I am doing a new thing. So this is, you know, this is the Lord is telling us listen, I'm doing something new. This is part of why you got to let the way that you think you know the former things, the old things, because he's shifted and now it springs forth. Do you not perceive it, perceiving something understanding? You know we talk about seeing with our spiritual eyes. You know, seeing when God moves. I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert, making a way in the wilderness, creating a path out of your most stickiest. You know chaotic situations, right, and rivers in the desert. When I think about that, I think about bountiful blessings. You know rivers in the desert where he's meeting your moment. You know all of those things.

Speaker 1:

So this is the verse I want to share with you Now. I want to talk about. I'm going to stop sharing and I want to touch on something around. I'm doing a new thing and now it springs forth. Do you not perceive it? Ok, I'm going to stop sharing and I want to just share this. I want to share this, this point, real quick. I'm going to try to drop while I'm. I'm trying to decide if I'm going to say this or not, because I don't want, I don't really want people coming for me. I mean, you can if you want to, but I want to. I really want you guys to take a pause.

Speaker 1:

Here we are at the end of October. I'm just dropping the um, what forget means and what um consider means, so that y'all can reference this. I want you to please, please. There's nothing. I'm telling you that I'm not going to come back and say go study, go ask the Lord to reveal to you what it means for you. Right, I am not a pocket profit, ok, but I want you to think about this.

Speaker 1:

We're at, we're in October, this is October 31st, the end of the month, and the truth is, as I've mentioned before opening up, that a lot of us are tired, tired, right, mentioned before opening up that a lot of us are tired, right, maybe you're not, maybe you're still filled up, bubbled up with all the things and you're all good, right, but I'm going to speak to those of us who are tired, okay, I'm going to speak to those of us who are really going through struggles. As a prayer ministry, we are called to pray for everyone, and this month, we've been focusing on praying for single parents, okay, mothers and fathers, and I know that it is especially difficult for me to think or for me to totally understand all of the struggles and the pain, all of the things, of a single parent, because that is not my situation. However, even for my single parent, friends and family, I want you guys to really honestly take a pause and take a breath. We are on October 31st. Before you jump into November, which is what tomorrow, before you get there, I really want you guys to take a pause and take a breath because you do not want to carry any past hurt, any past disappointment into where you're going. Why? Why? Why? Because you have a different reserve of strength that you need that the rest of us might not Just being honest, okay, and so when we're praying for single parents this afternoon, again on our prayer line one o'clock and seven o'clock, I want you to come with a heart that's looking for rest.

Speaker 1:

Why it's so important that you're rested? So that you can hear from God. If you're tired, you're not going to hear. Okay, you're not going to hear. Spiritually tired, you're not going to hear. Mentally tired, you're not going to hear. Physically tired, you're not going to hear. So just a quick nod to the single parents that we're praying with and for. You need to take a breath. You need to take a breath and listen. It's all right, it's okay to do that. It is absolutely okay to take a breath Now for the rest of us, the rest of us, amen. Exactly, tracy, let it go and make room for God to move in your life. We have to do that. So, again, I mentioned I'm Jamaican and we have mastered the art of not letting people or letting things go, or sometimes we let them go too quickly because we'll just cut people off and just do the okay, that's it, that's all Okay.

Speaker 1:

And so now I want to speak to those of you who are again emotionally tired. Maybe you're spiritually tired because you've been on your knees and you've been praying for this thing, for health, and you're watching friends or family members go through health episodes or health issues, cancer, I mean all the things you know, even migraines, like stressful things, surgeries and you're watching all of these things and you're thinking that that's something you're kind of holding onto. You're waiting for God to work through these prayers, like a formula. I prayed and then the doctors did this and then there was a blessing, right. So even in the way that we're taking that approach, I want you to open yourself up that God is going to do something different and something new in that person's life. If he's put someone on your heart for you to pray for and you're praying I want you to open up your mind even that God isn't going to follow a specific formula.

Speaker 1:

Why am I saying this? Because we are missing out on his blessing. We're missing out when he's working through our lives, because the blessing doesn't show up in the same way that we perceive it, right, he changes things Like. I mean, think about it. For those of y'all who've never met me, never heard of me, I pray that you're being blessed by what I'm saying. So I'm a blessing right to your life this morning. I'm a new thing, right? So, if you think about it, he doesn't always work the way you work. God will use even your enemies to motivate you and encourage you to move to the next, right. I mean, just think about this.

Speaker 1:

So, when we think about you know the new and I want everything, everything that he has for me, I want. I want all the blessings, I want the favor, I want the mercy, I want the goodness, I want the relationship with the Lord. I want, you know, when I wake up in the morning, I'm hungry. I'm hungry for him. I'm not, you know, literally like I don't even utter. Listen, don't judge me, I don't even utter, I don't even like to utter a word to my husband in the morning before I say Holy Spirit, where are you? Like that's how dependent I am, right, literally, I'm like I can't get through this day. Right, because I want to hear what he's got to say.

Speaker 1:

It's always something new, it's always something good, it's always something encouraging. And then there are times when he's going to show you things that need to change. We have to change right? We're looking at other people. For those now I'm talking to you who are just tired with everybody, okay, well, we can't look at other people and wait for God to change your spouse and change your kid, and change your coworker and change your friends or change your business partner. We're looking at him to go fix so-and-so. What he really is doing is he's showing us how to respond through these situations. It's a new thing, there's a new chapter, it's a new way. It's him taking you out of your wilderness in your mindset right, and moving you into a new path. So don't be afraid to do that. Don't be afraid when he comes with something new and different. It's okay, right, all things are still working together for our good right. You got to hold onto that.

Speaker 1:

So, before we move into November 1st I don't care what you're doing tonight Just take a moment and say thank you, god, that you brought me this far. Thank you for the month of October, Thank you for all that you've done. I'm excited for what's coming in November. I'm going to run this race. That's your prayer tonight, lord. Whatever it is that I'm holding onto that is not meant for me. Remove it from me, because I only want the best for me and my family. I'm willing to hand over my gifts and talent, lord, to you so that you can use it and bless me and my family. Those are the type of prayers I'm having tonight.

Speaker 1:

Y'all Don't sit on the sideline and just be tired, but just take a pause and take a rest so that you can hear what, lord, what do you have for me in the month of November? It's not just what do you have. I start declaring things for the month of November. I'm so excited about the blessings and the favor of this month of November that you're turning things around. So now I'm declaring his word back to him. Right, requires you to actually know what his word says. Right, lord? I want to exhibit the fruit of the spirit in everything that I do. I want to be known as the breakthrough in my family. So prepare me for that in the month of November. I'm going to see your goodness in the month of November.

Speaker 1:

So that is asking for a new thing. Notice, I am not asking, lord, forgive so-and-so and you see what so-and-so did, and not dragging any of the carcass of October into a new month. I want to see a new thing, lord God. I want new opportunities. I want new promotions. I want new right. I want a new mindset. I want discipline with my health, discipline with exercise. I'm calling some of us out, okay, me included. You know, lord, I want, I want to. I want better discipline in all areas of my life.

Speaker 1:

I want to have a, you know, a new pep in my step, whatever it is, but tonight, tonight, tonight y'all just take a few minutes between you and the Lord, pause, pause, thank him for the month of October, but start declaring the new thing that you want for November. And when you wake up tomorrow, right, you're in a new mindset. The way you're going into November is not the way we're leaving October. Even if you were blessed y'all, even if you're closing out this month in a positive way, right, even if that you're still going to move into November. And asking him for more, I want every single thing that heaven has to me, plus some right Abundantly. Above all, right, I want the. Above all. You can pray for your knees, but I'm praying for more than my knees, because I want to be able to be a blessing to millions of people, right, right. So that's what I wanted to share.

Speaker 1:

You got to be able to let go of the old mentality, let go of some of the things that happened. Don't go back and rehash stuff. If someone did something to hurt you, tonight is where you let it go. You ain't got to go back to the person and say I'm letting you go. In the name of Jesus, don't do that. Just forget the former things. Just a prayer with Lord. You know the hurt I've been through. You know the disappointments.

Speaker 1:

I'm going to let it go tonight because I want the newness, I want what you have for me for November and I don't want to miss a blessing. Right, I don't want to miss a thing. So I'm going to let go of what any like listen any manager said, any coworker said, any recruiter said because you didn't get the job, any project, anything, lord, I'm going to let go of what the pastor said. They hurt your feelings. I'm going to let go of all that stuff. I'm not taking that with me in November.

Speaker 1:

Lord, I'm going to think about your goodness. I'm going to think about your mercy and your grace. I'm only thinking about your favor going forward in November and then, lord, everything that you have for me. That's what I want. I want the newness, I want renewed strength, I want a new mindset, new attitude, even new words, y'all right. So that's what you do tonight to prepare for November. That's what's happening.

Speaker 1:

So, lord, I just thank you, lord, for reminding us of who you are and whose we are, and blessing us. I ask that you will just help all of us, lord God, who are just emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually tired, that you'll renew us, lord God. And tonight, as we're handing back over, we thank you for all that you have already done for us in October. But we are leaning on you for November to be a November of blessings, the kind of November, lord God, that when people look back on this day a year from now, their minds are going to be blown with the amount of blessings and the encouragement and the inspiration, exhortation, all the things that they would have experienced in this new month of November. And I also ask, lord God, that as they are being built up, they're building up other people, they're encouraging the people around them. We're walking out this life, we're not forgetting the sick, we're not forgetting the poor, we're not using our blessings as a curse to someone else. So, as you have opened your doors for them, you're giving them ideas and innovation, and you're sending them your helpers divine helpers and your protection and all of the things that they won't forget, that is for you to be glorified. So I thank you for an amazing month of October. Thank you for teaching us through your word in Isaiah. I thank you for those who've been filled with a little zeal that they want to go back and study and read your word and build a relationship with you. And I thank you, lord, god, for all and every family under the sound of my voice, especially for this month, as we've been praying for single parents that you're providing every need and every need is met. I thank you, lord, for every resource and connection that I'm aligned to. Lord God. I bless every person who is connected to me in any way that anything that they stand in need of this month, they will receive it. Thank you, lord, we love you and amen, amen, amen, right, tracy, tracy.

Speaker 1:

So there's a song. If y'all don't know, it's a Thai tribute song. I think it's called New Day. It might be called New, everything New. Y'all need to go look that up. You can find on YouTube and all the music channels. I do not owe the rights to that song, but I think I'm going to throw that in our prayer group new for real after this. So y'all have an amazing, amazing Thursday. Don't forget we have our prayer line. There is no seed needed. Y'all need to just show up and call in if you have a prayer request or bring a prayer request. And always, if you have a prayer request or bring a prayer request, and always if you have a prayer request, you can drop it in the comments. I actually do pray over and pray for all of my subscribers everywhere. I do for real. Whether you like it or not, I am praying for y'all. So I love y'all. Have a good rest of your day. Remember, take a rest tonight, but y we're getting ready for a powerful November. Amen, all right, take care.
