Embracing Love Over Fear: Transformative Faith Through Humility and Joyful Living
Have you ever wondered why fear has become a strategy in spreading faith? We explore this troubling trend and counter it with the profound, transformative power of love. This episode invites you on a reflective journey as we discuss the importance of vulnerability and the divine responsibility of sharing spiritual messages with authenticity, even in the face of strangers. We turn to the comforting presence of the Holy Spirit and the teachings of 2 Chronicles 7, emphasizing the need for humility, seeking God, and abandoning wicked ways to embrace forgiveness and healing. Through candid reflections, I hope to reach and inspire just one soul, reminding us that love, not fear, is the beacon of true Christian faith.
Join us as we shift our focus to the abundance of goodness around us, urging listeners to find joy in the simplicity of daily life—from the laughter of children to uplifting moments encountered during everyday errands. Through the teachings of 1 John 4, we stress that embodying love is a testament to God's presence within us. This conversation challenges us to self-reflect, release bitterness, and make love a fundamental part of our lives. By living with humility and seeking goodness, we can allow love to guide our actions, even towards those we might consider our enemies. Whether through embracing positivity or committing to love as a lifestyle, this episode calls for a heartfelt transformation.

Happy Saturday y'all. Sometimes when I come on, it's so difficult for me because I have to be vulnerable in front of strangers, and it's really tough, especially because my videos are on the social media streets. And then there's also the level of I've got to be kind of obedient and share what the Lord has for me. So I don't mean to sound like a downer before I get started, I'm just sharing with y'all. Sometimes it's really hard to be vulnerable. So I just wanted to share a few things this morning. Yesterday, I was kind of the way I kind of ended the day. So, yesterday being Friday, today being Saturday, I ended the day. So, yesterday being Friday, today being Saturday, I ended the day. I was trying to, um, I just had this like urge or or gnawing in my own spirit where I just felt like, again, I was just like Lord, who are you? You know, don't you see what's going on around us? And, um, and this reminder that he gave, like, literally, the Lord is with us, the Lord is literally, the Lord is with us, the Lord is with us, the Lord is with us Part of what caused me to have this reaction y'all. I was on YouTube for a little bit and there's all these rapture videos now where people are having the dreams and, uh, listen, no man knows the time or day when god is coming. So that's the first thing.
Speaker 1:Second thing is, as christians, you gotta stop scaring people into believing jesus. You gotta stop threatening people into believing Jesus. You got to stop threatening people into believing Jesus. They're not going to respond in the way. If you're trying to use fear to drive people to come to your page or drive people to come to our Lord, I'm just telling you it's not going to work. You know, know, people who are fearful of Jesus, that's. It's so anti his message and the love that he has for us and why we want people to come to the Lord. You know, our lives are living testimony, so you could be on the social media street and have a rapture and, again, a lot of folks are so caught up in these, these, these things. Some of folks are so caught up in these, these, these things. Some of them are, so you can see they're so highly marketed.
Speaker 1:But I just want to remind you that the Lord, that the Holy Spirit, is with us as our comforter. Even for myself, when I felt that like where are you, lord? He had to remind me, like, what are you talking about? I'm right here, I right here that he is with us and in us. So I just wanted to start off by again. I was just saying I wanted to share something really humble. Humbling that happened to me, and I think some of us are experiencing this too, where you kind of get exhausted with some of the noise, the things that people are saying, and you're like, oh man, man, if you truly experienced the lord, you would know that it is his love for us and and he wants to, and he wants to show that love even through his people, and I'll show you in scripture where that is so, uh, so this video might run a little bit long.
Speaker 1:For my friends on tiktok, you can come go on to the mrs pie youtube channel and, just in case we've run past 10 minutes, for those of y'all on facebook, you'll be able to see the complete thing. And for those of y'all who watch, y'all, even if there's one person, even it's one diggity person. So say, right, mike and jamaica, one diggity person. So say, mike and Jamaica, one diggity person, watch this. Then thank you, lord, for that one diggity person who watched this. So thank you, lord, for the encouragement that's coming to us through the Holy Spirit this morning For those who are wanting to hear more about you and just using me as your vessel. Lord, I thank you for that. I am in awe of your grace and your mercy every day and I pray that every person under the sound of my voice, that they'll hear what they're standing in need of, they'll hear a word from you and then they'll be directed back to you to learn more about you. Amen, all right, because it's not about me.
Speaker 1:So the first point I wanted to share is about prayer. I'm in 2 chronicles, chapter seven. This is after solomon, uh, built the temple and he already gave the prayer of dedication. And, um, after he dedicated the temple and people, you know, he held a feast. So, chapter 7 of 2 Chronicles, verse 11, when Solomon finished the house of the Lord and the king's house, all that Solomon had planned to do in the house of the Lord and his own house, he successfully accomplished. So remember, he was not only building a temple for the lord, he was also setting up his own house. Okay, hmm, something there. Then the lord appeared to solomon in the night and said to him I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place for myself as a house of sacrifice.
Speaker 1:The prayer is in chapter six. You also go back when I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land or send pestilence among my people. If my people, who are called by my name, humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. So let me just do that. Last that's chapter, that's verse 14. If my people were called by my name one humble themselves, two, pray and seek my face and three, turn from their wicked ways, then I'll hear from heaven and I'll forgive their sin and heal their land. So there's a three-step here.
Speaker 1:There's a lot of amazing prayers that went out last week when the hurricanes were coming, whether it's from Hurricane Milton or Helene and even in general storms that are rolling through life, and I'm always encouraged when I see people coming together to pray. I personally asked folks to just take a minute on a few days last week to just pray and ask God for protection, not just for your neighbor, not just for yourself, but also for the neighbor and also for the country, and this is such a great reminder again of the power of prayer. Now I also want to caveat you, christian people, because there are still people who had loss, suffered a great loss loss of life, loss of limb, loss of property during the hurricane, and you have to be very careful about how you position this. It's not that your prayer this is why the word says you got to humble yourself. You got to humble yourself. It's not that your prayer was so powerful, because I see people edifying and lifting up. There was a woman who prayed over the storm, over her house, and the Lord shifted right. But it's not that her prayer or that your prayer is just so powerful, but somebody else who is also a believer, who suffered a loss. Their prayer weren't answered. It's not that God is God y'all. I don't even know how to say this, because there's so many of us now that are propping up this one prayer oh, that prayer was fire and see how God heard her prayer.
Speaker 1:And what you end up doing is you discourage other people who might have prayed, who are true believers, and they didn't get their prayers answers. And now you know you're making it sound like God didn't bless them because he didn't save their home. And yet you don't know what his plan was for that family or is for that family, or if, in that very loss, he was glorifying himself to that family in such a mighty way, bigger than saving one house. So we got to humble ourselves. Even when we pray, we start, we start trying to explain what God does without his perspective and we sound crazy. We, you know, we don't want to discourage people to pray. We're going to have loss, there's going to be rumors of war, there's going to be all the things. You don't want to discourage people from praying. Please don't do that. Please don't do that.
Speaker 1:And so some of these things separate us from the Lord, because we end up making people feel like their prayer is just not as good because they didn't get the yes they wanted in one person. And then we throw it out on social media and we live through that thing. So again, the word says if my people who are called by my name humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin and heal their land. So the prayer point today is Lord, I, you know, um, lord, I want to turn from my own wicked ways. If there's anything that I'm doing to discourage people from praying or believing in you, lord, because I'm hyping one thing, you know I don't want to do that, lord, so we just got to be mindful again of how we do that.
Speaker 1:The second thing I want to share is finding the good, because there are so many good things that are happening in our lives and I know it's hard to say that right now for some people, because some people are dealing with real financial loss and loss of friends and limbs and loss of jobs. There's a lot of lost health care issues. There's a lot of things that people are dealing with. But I want to encourage you to still find the good. There's still reasons for us to be grateful. Still find the good. There's still reasons for us to be grateful. If you're going through a health care situation right now, especially if you're in this country I'm not from this country originally I can tell you that the access that you have to health care here is much better in their countries that would love to have the access that we have. There are things that we have, the reasons we have to be grateful still to God. So there are still, uh, good things that are happening and I'm I'm going to encourage you this coming week to find the good.
Speaker 1:Find the good that your people, um, might be a scripture that encourages you. Find the good that's happening. Might be a friend, might be your kids I love. I was sharing with my sister-in-law that, um, that I just love the sound of kids, I love the hot, the sound of noises in a house, I love the sound of laughter. And even if I'm, like you know, I have a thing for Target y'all. So you know that's where I go to hide and spend too much coin. But sometimes I love to go there because I find the good there. I see people smiling and families walking in. I watch moms and kids and I love to see that interaction. So I'm finding good. I find the good when you know I'm coming on and I hear in the comments that my words are encouraging you or helping you. So you know, let me know how life is, how you're doing, but finding the good is so important. If we keep focusing on everything that is going wrong, you're going to miss all the things that are going right. So I just want to encourage you, that's. The second thing is to find the good that's happening in your life. This will help build up your soul as well.
Speaker 1:And the last point that I want to share is God in us, and this is going to come from 1 John 4, I believe, yes, 1 John 4, and in chapter I'm sorry, 1 John, chapter 4, verse 12. Let me get it together. And it says no one has ever seen God. No one has ever seen God. And then there's a pause If we love one another, god abides in us and his love is perfected in us. So the first part no one has ever seen God.
Speaker 1:And then it says here's the condition If we love one another, if we you and me love one another, god abides in us and his love is perfected in us. Why does it have to be perfected in us? By this we know that we abide in him, like we live in him and he in us. Remember, I keep telling y'all it's not just Jesus is in me, it's we in him, us me, me in him, him, because he has given us of his spirit and we've seen and testified that the father has sent his son to be the savior of the world. Whoever confesses jesus's son, god abides in him and he in god. So we've come to know and to believe the love that god has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God and God in him. Whoever abides in love abides in God and God in him. So my last point is is love. My last point is just a reminder to all of us.
Speaker 1:Sometimes, some days, I really don't even use, like to use the word christian, because we have even corrupted it so that that now, now, uh, christians are, are, so we're so hateful and judgmental and I don't know what's going on. Like we, we're literally, we've really shifted. We want to be more like the world that you know, that you can, you can literally, you can see the things going on. And I just want to bring us back to God abiding in us and, um, again, reminding us that that whoever abides in love abides in God. They're very different from those who have believed and received the Lord and they've proclaimed Jesus as their Lord and Savior and they received the Lord unto themselves. He is their Lord and Savior and he resides in you. But for you to abide in him, it's conditional. Again, let me just read it, so y'all don't come for me conditional it's. It's. Again. Let me just read it so y'all don't come for me, don't say so again that love.
Speaker 1:This is verse uh 16 and first john 4. So we have come to know and to believe the love that god has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in god and god abides in him. So we have to have a we abide, we live. It's a part of us, it's a uh in love, it's almost, it's a lifestyle, it's a attitude, it's a mentality, it's, it's the way we operate y'all, it's how we uh become the light and the salt and all those things. God is love.
Speaker 1:So I just want to leave that with you because, again, like like I said, there's a lot of hateful stuff going on right now from from those who profess to be christians and y'all. Come on, we gotta do better, y'all for real, right, we gotta do better for real um loving your enemies really, really hard. Um, it's very challenging. Yes, I know it for myself. Um, I know it for myself. But I thank you, god, that it is his grace, he gives us peace, he gives us his mercy, his goodness. I thank you, lord, for even the hearts that are. You know, if you have a bitter heart or you still have unforgiveness. Some of us in this season, we just got to let people go, let things go, so that we don't have a heart that's bitter. It's hard to have a heart of love when there's bitterness in there. You know the two can't abide together, if you will. So I hope that helped you all. And, like I said I know I hope I'm not sounding like I'm rambling, but I did start by saying this is a tough one for me because it's a different level of vulnerability. It's really easy for me, quite frankly, because it's a different level of vulnerability. It's really easy for me, quite frankly, because it's just the Holy Spirit using me to come on and give you teaching.
Speaker 1:But this morning I wanted to share some of the three things that are really, really on my heart. So prayer, you know, being humble in our prayer, finding the good and remembering that God is love. Therefore, we are in him and he in us because of love. So, lord, I pray that this is going to help somebody. I pray that this is blessing somebody today and that they'll seek you and they'll come to know you. For those who had a loss, who suffered this week I know, lord, it wasn't just because you found a better prayer or you answered a better prayer, anything like that. I ask that you'll just reach those people who are standing in need so that they don't lose hope or faith in you. I love you, lord, and I thank you for residing and abiding in us, and I pray that you will show up in a different way for each of us this morning, so that we can be a testimony through our lives of your love to everyone around us. Amen, all right, y'all have an amazing rest of your day. God bless you. Bye.
